Automatic updating of checked in files If you check out a file that is referenced by other files which are still checked in on the WebDAV server, and then rename the file locally, Adobe GoLive automatically prompts you to check out the other files and update them. This feature is only available if you have synchronized the sites in advance so that the files are available on both the local platform and the WebDAV server. To ensure that checked in files are updated automatically: 1 Synchronize the site by choosing Site > WebDAV Server > Synchronize or by clicking the WebDAV Synchronize All button ( 2 Click Synchronize. 3 Check out a file that is referenced by other files on the WebDAV server, and rename it. 4 Click OK when Adobe GoLive prompts you to check out the other files. If you click Cancel, the renamed file reverts to its original name. 5 Click OK when Adobe GoLive prompts you to update the files. Adobe GoLive updates all the checked out files to reflect the file's new name so that links between the files continue to function properly. If one or more of the files is already checked out by another user, Adobe GoLive displays an error message.
